Duke Energy Names Jim Stanley as New Head of Power Delivery
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) has named Jim Stanley senior vice president of power delivery for the company's U.S. operations, effective June 1. The position is responsible for the electric power transmission and distribution systems in Duke Energy's five-state utility service area.

Stanley succeeds Sandra Meyer, who is retiring in May. Stanley currently serves as president of Duke Energy Indiana. The company has not yet named a replacement for his position, which he has held since November 2006.
Prior to becoming the company's Indiana president, Stanley served as Duke Energy's vice president of Midwest field operations. In that role, he was responsible for the company's Midwest power delivery system, including power grid maintenance and storm response. With more than 30 years with the company, he has served as a district and regional manager, general manager of employee and union relations, general manager of power transmission and distribution projects, and vice president of transmission and distribution construction and maintenance.
