DuJour Media Group Taps Ashley Parrish as DuJour Magazine's Latest New Hire
The former DailyCandy Editor-in-Chief has been named Chief Digital Officer of the magazine
NEW YORK, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jason Binn, CEO and founder of DuJour Media Group (http://www.Dujour.com) announced today that digital strategist Ashley Parrish has joined the company as Chief Digital Officer, effective immediately. Ashley comes to DuJour from DailyCandy where she served as the lifestyle website's Editor-in-Chief.
With the latest expansion to the magazine, DuJour adds to its strong leadership team to continently enhance and ensure its online experience that's as engaging as its print offerings. Ashley Parrish has successfully captured the luxury market and led digital brand strategies for social, web, email, mobile, and video platforms for over a decade, garnering the most respected and prominent awards and accolades along the way.
Before DailyCandy, Parrish was the Content Director for the Women and Teen Networks at Hearst Digital Media where she directed and managed the digital operations of Cosmopolitan, Redbook, and Seventeen magazines. Prior to that she oversaw the Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire websites. "I am thrilled to embark on this next chapter of my career. Parrish also works as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, New York University, where she teaches a variety of classes including Content Creation for the New Digital Attention Span, How to Write and Edit for the Web, and a Blogging Workshop. DuJour also recently brought in Digital strategist David Sorenson, former Senior Director of WebMD, who will help Ashley and the rest of the digital team manage online traffic growth and Search Engine Optimization for the magazine's website.

A veteran of both magazine and digital worlds, Parrish has a proven track record of working across both to increase digital offerings, audience, and revenue.
