InkCase has won the Design & Innovation Award and exhibited for the first time at Computex 2013, and was well received by the public. The first generation of InkCase was designed for iPhone 5/5S, Samsung Note 2 and S4. There was also a lot of feedback on whether there will be any products developed for Sony Xperia Z1, Samsung Note 3 and other models. We started to brainstorm on the possibilities to develop an InkCase that is compatible to all phones, hence the birth of InkCase Lite. The InkCase Lite is compatible to all types of phone models by just a change in the casing. Other than that, it can also be installed at the back of the phone, as well as the front, namely in any way to fulfill the requirements of various users.
According to OAXIS Development Director, Tim Li, InkCase is like a digital book reader that can be installed on the phone case. Users can transfer books from the phone to InkCase through OAXIS app – EpiReader, by using Bluetooth. Using another app – InkCase Photo, InkCase can also display and style your photo in your phone to show off your personality. Moreover, the latest InkCase app, InkCase Sports has taken InkCase to a higher level as a bike sports timer. At the moment, InkCase has many more functions yet to be explored, such as instant message reminder, discount coupons, QR Code, etc. OAXIS has opened up the SDK application platform for more fans and apps developers to explore and develop more exciting applications.
There is a touching story behind the development of InkCase. The origin of InkCase comes from a real life example. One of our company's directors will always change his phone casing of his loving yet mischievous son. This is costly and troublesome. InkCase was invented to meet his needs for a customized screen anytime, anyway he likes it.
The creative idea of InkCase derived from Singapore's OAXIS. OAXIS was established in 2010 in Singapore, and has branches in China and Malaysia. Being creative in the first place, the main aim of this product is to fulfill the need of aesthetic and address practical usage of different users. The products include digital book reader, power bank, woofer and tv transmitter. Since its establishment, OAXIS has won 25 awards in China, Taiwan and Germany, which are comprised of 22 product and 2 design golden awards.
