Dr. R. Kenneth Horst is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals
ITHACA, N.Y., April 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. R. Kenneth Horst is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Research and Development. Dr. Horst is the President of H & I Agritech/Kellogg Agritech.
A seasoned professional harnessing over four decades of experience, Dr. Horst has dedicated the majority of his adult life to the research and development of plant science and disease. In this capacity, he conducts research on diseases caused by virus and virus-like agents in addition to his time spent teaching and lecturing. He has been teaching Plant Pathology at Cornell University since 1968.
In 2000, Dr. Horst was presented with the Distinguished Citizen Award by Massillon Washington High School, the high school he graduated from in 1953. He also was recognized by Sigma Xi Gamma Sigma Delta with a medal from The Warsaw Agricultural University at the 75th Anniversary for the Faculty of Horticulture for "Contributions to the Faculty and the College" 1996.
To keep up with the latest advancements in the industry, Dr. Horst maintains affiliation with the American Phytopathological Society, International Society of Plant Pathology, International Society of Horticultural Sciences, American Association for the Advancement of Science, Committee Tissue Culture Association and the Society of American Florists. Dr. Horst recently published the ninth edition of his plant disease handbook as well as contributing to several field manuals.
Throughout the course of his education and training, Dr. Horst earned his Ph.D. in Plant Science as well as an M.S. and B.S. from The Ohio State University.
