Doximity Medical Network Grows to 200,000 Physician Members

SAN MATEO, Calif., Aug. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Doximity, the professional network for physicians, today announced it has crossed the 200,000 member milestone. With nearly 30% of U.S. doctors on board, Doximity members span every city, every sub-specialty and every academic medical center in the country. In a June 2013 survey by the American College of Physicians, Doximity was named one of the Top Five "Most Used" apps by physicians.

The 200,000th member was an Oncologist who joined following an invite from a local Surgeon. After verifying his identity and completing his online CV, he securely emailed and traded private phone lines with 40 other colleagues, including: several surgeons at his hospital, former co-residents now working across the country as sub-specialists, and a co-author of paper he published in 2008.
