KENT, Conn., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- In answer to the health care bill, the economic climate and the rapidly rising demand for alternative medicine, Dr. Nancy Offenhauser launched the "$7 Self-Health School" in Kent, CT, after estimating $7 a day to be about what it cost to heal herself naturally of cancer. The classes take place each Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon, at Kent's Historical Society on Route 341. The fee: $7.
A chiropractor in Amenia, NY, Dr. Offenhauser was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2002. By 2004 she was cancer-free, having used only natural, time-honored therapies. Her book, Healing Cancer Peacefully: A Memoir, has been published by The Round House Press, Kent, CT.
Each Saturday she and other experts will demonstrate her self-cure protocols: acupuncture, herbalism, Edgar Cayce's castor oil packs, nutrition, exercise tai chi and many more.
"Knowledge is power. It's time to take our health back into our own hands, to learn to lead full, independent and drug-free lives. We were designed to be healed by simple means," says Dr. Offenhauser.
Nancy Offenhauser, D.C., is a graduate of Smith College and National College of Chiropractic, now National University of Health Sciences. No stranger to pioneering, hers was the first Local 1 NYC stagehands union card held by a woman. She is available for consultations, speaking engagements and workshops.
