DKC Public Relations Accelerates West Coast Growth
Melisa Gotto Appointed Vice President to Lead Los Angeles Office
NEW YORK, Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Since formally launching a West Coast presence in late 2011, DKC Public Relations, Marketing & Government Affairs is quickly accelerating the growth of its Southern California operation with the appointment of Melisa Gotto as Vice President to lead the agency's Los Angeles office.
Melisa brings with her more than 13 years of experience across entertainment, fashion, technology, music, television, travel, corporate and consumer products PR. Prior to joining DKC, Melisa was vice president of the Entertainment Content division at Bender|Helper Impact (B/HI), overseeing the Digital Entertainment, Home Entertainment and Consumer Products groups as well as the agency's social media department. At B/HI, Melisa oversaw businesses including Hulu, Current TV, The Hub, Cybergeddon, Audible.com, AuditionBooth, Paramount Digital Entertainment, Fox Home Entertainment, Everloop, The Streamy Awards, Fox Television Studios' 15 Gigs, Yahoo! Music, Yahoo! Entertainment, Break Media, Comcast Interactive Media (Fancast), Scion Broadband, A2 Entertainment, AFI, FremantleMedia North America and MGM Home Entertainment.
"Melisa brings an incredible mix of experience from across the entertainment industry as well as a proven track record executing successful media relations campaigns across multiple platforms for clients including content creators, studios, distributors and media companies," said Sean Cassidy, president of DKC. "After just eight months since we launched our West Coast presence, our Los Angeles operation has quickly grown and Melisa will be instrumental in helping expand our business even further."
Melisa joins Brittany Hershkowitz at DKC in Los Angeles, which will soon be moving to its new office in Beverly Hills. DKC's elevated presence in the Los Angeles market better positions the agency to service companies whose work is focused in and around the entertainment sector, and also capitalizes on the tremendous national growth opportunities across the luxury, corporate, entertainment, travel, sports and media business categories. The agency has recently been retained by Los Angeles clients including Madame Tussauds Hollywood. Additionally, DKC's Los Angeles office enhances the agency's ability to service such existing corporate clients as Delta Air Lines, Jaguar / Land Rover, Yahoo!, New Balance and Michael Eisner's portfolio of companies.
"I am really looking forward to the challenge and opportunity of expanding DKC's Los Angeles presence," said Gotto. "The agency has such a diverse client roster, along with so many talented experts in each area that it's perfectly poised to make a mark in Southern California and I'm beyond excited to be leading the charge."
