Dirty Water Records Presents: The Arrogants - Introducing...
LONDON and LILLE, France, September 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
'These guys happen to be playing some of the most exciting, downright snotty and primal garage punk / beat-up blues sounds that I've heard in quite some time. Surely they are poised for great things!
(Lenny Helsing)
'More proof the French can rock. If the album is as good as this taster it will be a killer.'
(I-94 Bar)

"You can stick your games consoles where the Vox don't shine."
In the year 2014 you might expect young men at the tender age of 18 to be much like most other teenagers of their generation - to be more interested in video games, hipster bands or even, gasp, hip hop. But these particular young men have happily invested in belts to keep their trousers up while spending their teens investigating classic twentieth-century music: blues and rock'n'roll and especially the garage-rock and rhythm'n'blues from the sixties. And they decided they wanted guitars in their hands rather than games consoles.

The Arrogants have delved into the sounds of mod, garage rock, psychedelia, and blues, first as a 14-year-old duo, then as a 15-year old trio . . . and now with a keyboard player (Farfisa or Vox, these guys know their stuff), as a quartet, they are ready to be heard by the wider world. Whilst digging the sounds of the past, they have successfully developed their own unique style, writing their own songs and gaining recognition in their home town by playing as support to their heroes The Pretty Things and appearing at the Lille Vintage Weekend in front of 15,000 strong crowd.
Prominent organ a la Boston's Lyres matches stride-for-stride with full-toned guitar on each tune while vocalist Thomas snarls and howls like a cross between Roky Erikson and Van Morrison in his Them days.
The four tracks on this 7" vinyl EP are: the twitching, garage jerk brilliance of "Mr. Devil", the moody pop a go-go of We're Arrogant", the solid blues-wailin' "Drunky Blues", and finally, the new wave crunch of "It's An experience". The future is theirs.
