At Diio, innovation rules. Ten years ago, Diio set the standard for excellence with the aviation industry's first all-in-one market intelligence hub, apgDat. This tool was the first to combine schedule, traffic, fare, airline performance, and demographic information into a user-friendly Internet-based portal. Diio was also the first to offer users unlimited query access for one low price. More recently, Diio provided the first straightforward, affordable, web-based route forecasting tool, providing airports with access to the same sophisticated forecasting technology used by world-leading airlines.
Today, in concert with its partners International Air Transport Association ("IATA") and Airlines Reporting Corporation ("ARC"), Diio continues to set the performance standard by meeting new challenges with remarkably fresh and innovative solutions. These new tools expand the power of apgDat to make the product more valuable and productive than ever before.
First, Diio unveils monthly United States ("U.S.") Department of Transportation ("DOT") Origin and Destination ("O&D") Survey. The U.S. DOT releases its O&D Survey data quarterly, which clouds analysis of seasonal markets and makes it difficult for airports to compare O&D numbers with their internal figures. Diio is now using its industry-leading proprietary algorithms to "monthlify" the U.S. DOT O&D Survey. These monthly reports will cover both historical O&D Survey datasets and future releases.
Next, Diio introduces apgDat Fleet. This optional add-on module to apgDat provides intelligence on nearly 40,000 aircraft flown by airlines around the world. The database includes stored and parked aircraft, as well as aircraft that are on order or on option for future delivery. Subscribers can quickly access how many aircraft meet search criteria including operator, aircraft manufacturer and type, engine manufacturer and type, status, and original delivery date.
Third, along with its partners IATA and ARC, Diio introduces apgDat FM, for Fares and Market Sizes. FM is also an optional add-on module to apgDat, providing airport users with access to the most comprehensive traffic dataset in the industry. apgDat FM harnesses transaction settlement data from nearly a billion tickets sold worldwide each year. Diio is also setting a new standard in timeliness for traffic reports with FM, producing valuable intelligence just weeks after the close of each travel month.
Finally, Diio brings the ARC DataXpert product line to apgDat with ARC DataXpert Market Prediction. This innovative new tool forecasts future passenger flows at U.S. airports and cities up to nine months in advance. Market Prediction uses ARC ticket settlement data for future travel along with the industry's most sophisticated forecasting techniques. Users can gather intelligence on city, airport, carrier, day-of-week, and time-of-day levels, making it useful for travel-dependent organizations like airports, hotels, rental car agencies, airport concessionaires, and cruise lines. ARC and Diio will offer Market Prediction either as a standalone product or as an optional add-on module to apgDat.
These new product launches once again prove how Diio leverages its expertise in accessing, collecting, optimizing, and managing vast amounts of data to create extraordinary value for its clients. All of these new sources of market intelligence will come with the same exceptional accessibility, usability, and speed as Diio's current products, as well as Diio's ultra-responsive, world-class customer support.
Diio is the worldwide leader in helping aviation clients and partners build confidence in their decisions and sustainable strength in their businesses. With these new additions, Diio is once again demonstrating how its innovative solutions improve the capabilities of its customers.
Diio personnel will be available to demo these new products at the Network USA 2010 Conference in Fort Lauderdale. More info is also available at www.diio.net.
