DigiSight Technologies Appoints Health IT Expert From Box To Its Board Of Directors
Missy Krasner Joins Growing Leadership Team of Health IT, Medical Device, and Pharmaceutical Veterans
SAN FRANCISCO, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- DigiSight Technologies, Inc., a digital health company developing mobile solutions to improve care and clinical outcomes, announced today that it has appointed Missy Krasner to its board of directors. Ms. Krasner is currently VP and Managing Director at Box, Inc., where she leads the healthcare and life sciences vertical. Prior to her role at Box, she was one of the founding members of Google Health, a personal health record (PHR) offering from Google.
"Missy is a pioneer in health IT and cloud computing," said Doug Foster, president and CEO of DigiSight. "Her broad experience in health IT and digital health makes her an invaluable addition to our team as we continue to develop and innovate upon our cloud-based PaxosTM mobile health platform. We are excited to welcome her to our board of directors."
Ms. Krasner brings over 25 years of health IT experience in business development, product marketing, and enterprise sales to DigiSight as a board member. Prior to her current role leading the healthcare and life sciences vertical at Box, Ms. Krasner was an executive-in-residence (EIR) at Morgenthaler Ventures where she worked on digital health deals for venture funding such as HealthLoop and Doximity. Prior to her time in venture capital, she helped launch Google Health, an online medical records and wellness platform; Google's first attempt to move deeper into the healthcare vertical. Before Google, she worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under the Bush administration to set up the first Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), which was responsible for the legislative language for the HITECH Act and many of the government incentives for doctors and hospitals adopting electronic health records (EHRs).
"DigiSight is transforming the way eye care is practiced with its mobile health offerings," said Ms. Krasner. "Being able to remotely diagnose, monitor and better triage patients by leveraging mobile health technologies in eye care is a huge opportunity for better patient outcomes in the U.S. I look forward to working with DigiSight's leadership and board members to drive the company's mission forward."
Missy Krasner is the most recent executive appointment for DigiSight. Earlier this month the company announced the expansion of its executive team with the addition of Carol Hoang, Chet Kumar, and Allen Jones, who come from leading companies in the ophthalmic medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
