Devaney Announces Enhancements to Recovery.gov
WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Earl E. Devaney, the chairman of the Recovery Board, announced today that new features and functions will be added to Recovery.gov to make the website more accessible and meaningful to visitors.

Devaney said that the redesigned home page will contain several new important features and functions:
- An "Audience Segmentation'' feature allowing easier navigation on the website. Users will be able to click on this tab at the top left-hand corner of the page and call up particular user groups, among them "An interested citizen'' and "Projects in my zip code.''
- A feature story carousel at the top of the page permitting users to simply click on a picture and get information about a Recovery project or program.
- A new Map Gallery giving users the ability to access all maps on the website from the page, including one map developed by Edward Tufte, the renowned visualization expert.
- A new Developer Center that allows users to grab data from Recovery.gov and embed the information on a web page, blog, or social media site.
- Easy access to the Recovery Board's new blog, designed to provide information about the agency, its staff, and the $787 billion Recovery program.
- An expanded Job Search function that allows users to search their own state website for jobs and employment information.
Devaney will detail the enhancements on a video featured in his Chairman's Corner column that will be posted on Recovery.gov later today. The new blog will also will discuss the enhancements.
