Cyndi Barreda Named NetCentrics CEO
Current president takes on new role to lead growing IT services company
HERNDON, Va., July 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NetCentrics Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise IT, cloud and cybersecurity services to the federal government, today announced that its board of directors has unanimously chosen Cyndi Barreda as the company's next CEO. Barreda, who currently serves as NetCentrics' president, will succeed Bob Dougherty, one of the company's founders and the current CEO.

"Through our CEO search process, we realized that no one else has the background, depth of experience and familiarity that Cyndi has accrued over the past 15 years with NetCentrics. Dougherty, who will become vice-chairman of the board after his retirement, supported the selection of Barreda. "Cyndi has a deep understanding of our customers' challenges and has been instrumental in shaping NetCentrics' unique culture," Dougherty said. Barreda, who holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and computer science from Jacksonville State University, joined NetCentrics in 2002. She has more than 20 years of experience in federal information technology strategy, program management, strategic planning and process improvement. Prior to NetCentrics, she was a principal at American Management Systems (AMS), and before that she served as an information management specialist with the U.S. government.
