cuddle+kind's crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo has already surpassed 250% of its initial goal of $25,000 in less than 24 hours. cuddle+kind has created nine stylish 20" dolls, made with 100% natural, premium cotton and certified non-toxic. Every adorable doll is knit and embroidered by hand and has its own name, birthdate and personality that children will love.
"When we saw a documentary on the devastating impact of childhood hunger, it inspired us to help. We're parents of three young children, so naturally we think all children should have enough food to eat and the opportunity to thrive," said Jennifer Woodgate, Co-Founder of cuddle+kind. "We wanted to create a company and product that helps feed children in need and makes it easy for people to make an impact. cuddle+kind makes it fun for children and families to give back while getting to take home a handcrafted, stylish doll to cherish and enjoy."
To provide meals, cuddle+kind has partnered with the World Food Program USA and Children's Hunger Fund to guarantee that every purchase will directly benefit children in need. The limited run of first-edition dolls purchased during the Indiegogo campaign will be delivered in time for the 2015 holiday season.
cuddle+kind's Indiegogo campaign will run until October 16th, in congruence with World Food Day 2016. For more information on how you can get involved, visit the website and connect with cuddle+kind on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.
