BOSSIER CITY, La., Nov. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CSRA Inc. (NYSE: CSRA) today opened the doors to its Integrated Technology Center (ITC) in Bossier City, marking the completion of a two-year development project that will bring a total of 800 new jobs to Northwest Louisiana by June 2018. The new facility will serve as a competitive delivery center that will enable CSRA to deliver a full-range of next-generation information technology services, securely and flexibly — including solution delivery, cyber operations and application development — at a competitive cost for the company's federal government customers.
The ITC currently has approximately 400 employees and plans to hire an additional 400 information technology professionals who will provide infrastructure and application development, cybersecurity and cloud computing support for mission-critical programs for several government agencies. Through the development of the ITC, CSRA is investing in the local community, broadening the technology corridor in Northwest Louisiana and stimulating job growth in the region. CSRA's partnership with local universities to enhance information technology-related college courses ensures students are job-ready upon graduation, allowing Louisiana to retain its best and brightest in the information technology sector.
CSRA (through its former parent, CSC) broke ground for the ITC in September 2014 and is now an anchor tenant at the National Cyber Research Park in Bossier City. The 96,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art building features interactive technology, collaborative workspaces, a large town hall with food service offerings from local partners Rhino Coffee and Jason Brady Restaurant Group. The architecture features binary code on some of the windows and red LED lighting on the building's exterior. The building's unique design was conceived in partnership with area architect Mike McSwain, owner of Mike McSwain Architect, LLC.
The facility was built in partnership with several state and local government organizations including the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, the State of Louisiana, the City of Bossier, the Cyber Innovation Center and the Bossier Parish Police Jury.
CSRA's economic growth efforts in Northwest Louisiana extend beyond the ITC to a Customer Engagement Center which recently opened in Bossier City as well. The Customer Engagement Center will create an additional 300 new jobs focusing on providing information technology support to the federal government.
Founded in November 2015, CSRA is a leading next-generation IT professional services and solutions provider for the federal government. The company has approximately 18,000 employees who support federal customers in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, health IT and civil markets.
