FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CSRA Inc. (NYSE:CSRA), a leading provider of next-generation IT solutions and professional services to government agencies and programs, announced today it has partnered with Silicon Valley-based Perspica. Through this alliance, CSRA will bring Perspica's artificial intelligence powered analytics capabilities to customers in the federal government. Together, both companies will help our government customers leverage innovative technology and big data analytics to support their critical missions.
Through CSRA's Emerging Technology initiative, CSRA matches its deep mission understanding and experience working with the federal government with groundbreaking innovations to create positive mission outcomes for its customers. Perspica's partnership and collaboration with CSRA is a clear indicator of the initiative's early success. Both companies are working together to protect critical U.S. government data center operations by leveraging Perspica's predictive analytics solution to identify anomalies within mission-critical services that could cause outages or performance degradations within agencies.
CSRA is currently performing work on a significant indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract to manage the Department of Homeland Security's Data Center 1 and deliver managed-infrastructure services. Perspica's analytics solution, powered by artificial intelligence, has developed a comprehensive set of big data analysis resources to ingest and analyze high volumes of application and infrastructure data in real time.
Perspica automatically builds behavior profiles and combines them with best-of-breed machine learning algorithms that continuously learn the behavior of government services and underlying infrastructure to provide early warning indicators, which can prevent or dramatically reduce mean time to repair of outages. It then cuts through system alarms to provide a clear root cause and a suggested resolution.
"Our strategy is to forge strong partnerships with industry leaders and domain experts in order to lead government customers to the next stage of their digital journey," said Yogesh Khanna, Chief Technology Officer for CSRA. "Our partnership with Perspica will provide a key step in that journey, by leveraging artificial intelligence powered analytics to fulfill the promise of a data-driven government."
"Our partnership is a great example of how Silicon Valley and Washington, DC can work together to accelerate innovation across government. We look forward to working with CSRA to support our key joint customers in the federal government to help protect their critical operations and infrastructure," said Perspica CEO Dan Maloney. "The ability to infuse Perspica's deep domain expertise in artificial intelligence to analyze big data will help the government achieve their missions and solve our country's most challenging problems."
