FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CSRA Inc. (NYSE:CSRA) announced it was awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to upgrade the agency's PeopleSoft Human Capital Management system. The new, single-award contract is valued at $38.9 million including a one-year base period and four, one-year extension options.
"The human resources system our customer currently uses is extremely complex and requires the use of multiple data feeds, which can be time consuming and impact efficiency," said Paul Nedzbala, CSRA executive vice president, Health and Civil Group. "The core of our mission is to create and deploy solutions that enable our customers to perform their daily tasks in an easier, more productive manner. We are leveraging a brilliant team of internal and external experts who have the experience and background knowledge to seamlessly deliver an upgraded system to support the strategic management of human capital and improve service to HHS employees and managers."
Under the contract, CSRA will assist HHS' Human Resource Solutions Division with upgrading its PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) 8.9 suite to the PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 version. The company will design, develop and integrate the suite and all related interfaces, including operating and maintaining the new environment during the deployment and stabilization phase. PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 maximizes effectiveness and efficiencies, decreases risk levels and reduces time spent on various human resources related actions including time and attendance and payroll processing.
