FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CSRA Inc. (NYSE: CSRA), a leading provider of next-generation IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, today announced its operating subsidiary, CSRA LLC (formerly CSC Government Solutions LLC), is one of three cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure to meet rigorous security standards and achieve a Federal Risk Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Federal Information Security Management (FISMA) High Baseline accreditation.
CSRA participated in a pilot program for the new high baseline accreditation, which was initiated and managed by a joint working group including the General Services Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. During the rigorous accreditation process, the company's cloud service offerings were thoroughly reviewed by an approved third-party assessment organization.
"We are the only pure-play next-generation IT services provider to achieve the FedRAMP FISMA High Baseline accreditation, a result of the brilliant teamwork and collaboration that permeate CSRA," said Larry Prior, CSRA's president and CEO. "Our ARC-P Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud offering is one of the most security compliant clouds available for our federal civilian and defense customers. This major accomplishment in security enhancement reassures our customers that CSRA is vigilant in providing highly secure government cloud services."
Following successful completion of the accreditation process, CSRA's ARC-P Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud received the highest level of security in the government cloud marketplace. With the new authorization to operate, the ARC-P IaaS will have the necessary momentum to proceed with accreditation at DoD Impact Level 4/5, which hosts controlled, unclassified information. The company will also work with the Defense Information Systems Agency to connect to DoD's Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network – also known as NIPRNet – which is a system for exchanging sensitive but unclassified information.
"The CSRA team was the first cloud services provider to achieve a FedRAMP P-ATO with the Joint Authorization Board," Matt Goodrich, FedRAMP Director. "One of the key reasons they were selected as one of the vendors for the high pilot was their track record of performance. CSRA's work in the high pilot demonstrates their commitment to meeting the most rigorous of standards set forth by the U.S. Government."
Attaining advanced security levels enables CSRA to leverage its new Integrated Technology Center (ITC) and bid on highly secure commercial cloud services. The ITC is a 96,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility currently being built in Bossier City, Louisiana. The ITC is a competitive delivery and data center with the capability to collaborate across various projects. The combination of our secure cloud environment and the ITC enables CSRA to deliver the full-range of IT services including service delivery, cyber operations and application development at industrial scale, securely, flexibly and at competitive cost points for our government customers.
"CSRA's cloud offerings are fully capable of providing cloud migration, development and managed services, which can be leveraged by our customers. We see increasing adoption of hybrid cloud on the part of our federal customers and look forward to strengthening our alliances with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, while offering our own IaaS to broaden the array of secure hosting options to the federal marketplace," continued Prior.
