The city shall see the introduction of robotic manufacturing, industrial design and the Internet of Things, with further completion and depth brought to the current education and healthcare industries. Forest City aims to soon achieve city-wide information synergy and its vision of a smart eco-city.
After intense upgrading, the IECs will become a vital portal for efforts to attract industries to Forest City, bringing in industry leaders, completing infrastructure works and realizing sustainable development of the project. As reported, Forest City is endowed with multiple incentives, including corporate tax exemption for selected key industries.
Signing of Cooperative Agreements for Phase 2 of Forest City
Actively responding to the "Road and Belt Initiative" to promote the globalization of Chinese enterprises, Forest City has played a role in further complementing bilateral Sino-Malaysian relations, as has received wide support from political and commercial sectors. Having twice received the endorsement of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak has also announced Forest City as a duty-free area and approved independent CIQs by land and sea. On March 11, His Royal Highness Sultan Ibrahim of Johor visited Country Garden Group's headquarters to witness the signing of cooperative agreements to develop Phase 2 of Forest City.
Comprising 8km2 of land, Phase 2 of Forest City shall see the sustainable development of recreational facilities, with an emphasis on tourism. Malaysia has always been a close ally to China, that's why Country Garden Group chose Malaysia for its first overseas venture," said Mr. Yeung at the title conferring ceremony.
The Prime Model of Future Cities is Gradually Taking Shape
Since its global launch on 6 March 2016, Forest City has actively sought cooperation with global education and healthcare leaders. An agreement has been signed with Shattuck-St. Mary's School to offer quality education covering pre-school to high school from August 2018. Health services from MJ Group - a prestigious Asian healthcare institute - will be available this year based on the agreement signed with Forest City. In addition, Forest City is collaborating with SASAKI, G-Energy Global, Huawei, Accenture and many others to realize its vision of a smart eco-city.
With continuous construction, the International Clubhouse, Transportation Hub, Harbor Commercial Street, Phoenix Hotel and SECOO flagship store have already been completed. Coupled with the upcoming Shattuck-St. Mary's School campus and MJ Group as well as the planned golf courses and 5-star resort, Forest City is gradually taking shape as a the prime model of future cities.
Worth noting is that Forest City has catalyzed the globalization process of nearly 100 Chinese enterprises, including Zoomlion, China State Engineering and Construction's Eighth Division, Spring Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Shagang Group, Yonggang Group, Monalisa, and many others. This has greatly deepened the collaboration for commercial, construction and shared resources between China and Malaysia under the "Road and Belt Initiative".
