Coral Hospitality Awarded a Second Five Year Management Contract for Georgia's Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa and Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club
ATLANTA and NAPLES, Fla., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Coral Hospitality, a full-service hospitality management and investment company specializing in resorts, hotels, clubs and residential communities, has received approval from the North Georgia Mountains Authority (NGMA) to extend its management contract for Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa, Young Harris, GA, and Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club, Cordele, GA, for an additional five years. The management contract for the two state-owned resorts was first awarded to Coral Hospitality in 2005, when the NGMA conducted a national search with more than 100 hospitality management companies responding to the request for proposals. Coral Hospitality was selected over this large number of competitors, winning the contract over some much larger competitors.
"We are honored that the North Georgia Mountains Authority has agreed to extend our contract to manage these two wonderful state owned resorts for an additional five years," said Lee Weeks, CEO, Coral Hospitality. "These are two of the finest facilities for conferences and recreation in all of Georgia, and it is a privilege to work with the DNR and NGMA to ensure their ongoing success and to have them as resources for Georgians as well as visitors to the state," added Weeks.
"We are very pleased with the operations, service and financial performance that Coral Hospitality has delivered over the past five years in managing these two resorts, and we look forward to our ongoing relationship," said Bill Donohue, Executive Director, North Georgia Mountain Authority. "Coral Hospitality has proven to be an excellent management company with a great sensitivity to the needs of our state and its citizens," added Donohue.
