COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Jan. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CodeBaby, a provider of interactive virtual assistant technology, today announced Connect for Health Colorado® has implemented CodeBaby as a way to increase consumer education and improve the online experience for customers of Colorado's health insurance Marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado.
The new virtual coach, Kyla, welcomes customers on the Marketplace website homepage and helps them navigate to the right location quickly. Kyla can also be found at key points in the website, presenting important information in a clear manner, and assisting users in making informed decisions. She provides decision support for critical choices, including applying for financial assistance and understanding unfamiliar health insurance terminology.
"We are committed to delivering a superior experience for those people shopping for quality, affordable health care coverage," said Marcia Benshoof, chief strategy and sales officer for Connect for Health Colorado. "We have seen that the addition of CodeBaby's interactive coach greatly improves the experience people have on the site. The ability to quickly note information and help people navigate the site in fewer steps is key to reducing our customers' frustration."
Kyla is more than just a visual representation of a character. She is fully animated and carries the brand persona and intelligence driving the customer experience including multilingual capabilities. Kyla also appears on Connect for Health Colorado's Spanish website.
"There is a rise in organizations that are delivering complex information in an online setting looking for more effective ways to improve consumer engagement," said Dennis McGuire, CEO of CodeBaby. "Combine this with studies showing that intelligent virtual assistants make interfaces easier to use and it becomes clear why organizations, like Connect for Health Colorado, are deploying our intelligent virtual coaches."
Connect for Health Colorado is the second state health exchange to choose CodeBaby to help consumers through the process of comparing plans and shopping for quality, affordable health care coverage. Access Health CT was the first state-based health exchange to launch CodeBaby in November 2014 in preparation for the 2015 open enrollment cycle.
