Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. Analyst Notes
On May 1, 2014, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. (Atlas) announced the placement of two state-of-the-art Boeing 747-8 Freighters into ACMI service for DHL Express, replacing the two Boeing 747-400 Freighters currently used for the service. The Company said that the two tate-of-the-art aircrafts will be operated by Atlas Air, Inc. in Polar Air Cargo Worldwide's transpacific express network under an AMCI management for the benefit of DHL Express and Polar's other customers. According to Atlas, the 747-8Fs will provide additional revenue cargo volume to serve DHL's expanding express business while the 747-400Fs will be placed into Atlas Air's revenue service immediately. (Prestige) reported that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Hydralyte™ from the Australia-based Hydration Pharmaceuticals Trust of Victoria. According to Prestige, Hydralyte is the leading over-the-counter oral rehydration brand in Australia and it will be marketed and sold through the Company's Australian subsidiary, Care Pharmaceuticals. The acquisition is projected to double Care Pharmaceuticals' revenues to approximately AUD 50 million and is expected to be accretive to the Company's EPS for 2015 (exclusive of transaction, integration and purchase accounting items).
