FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With longer and more frequent deployments, supporting a family in the military over these periods of long separation can prove challenging. Recognizing this, the Armed Forces Foundation, Aaron's Inc. and Hewlett-Packard have partnered again to give away computers to military families at an event being held Thursday, August 12 at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville, NC.

Aaron's has granted 100 computers to 50 Fort Bragg based Army families. Each family will receive two Hewlett-Packard touch screen computers – a desktop to remain at home and a laptop to travel overseas with the deployed soldier. The computers come equipped with Skype video conferencing technology in the hope that they may help families remain close during long absences.
"We can never fully repay our country's military for their service, but we've made it a priority at Aaron's to do everything we can to help them keep in touch with their families while they are away," said Mitch Paull, Aaron's, Inc. Sr. VP, Merchandising & Logistics. "In partnering with the Armed Forces Foundation and HP, we are giving 50 families a priceless gift – the ability to communicate with their loved ones. We hope this simple donation brings comfort and joy to the Ft. Bragg soldiers and their families, because both are making tremendous sacrifices for our country."
The event will run from 6-8 p.m. at the museum, located in downtown Fayetteville. A representative from HP will be on hand to give a product demonstration to those receiving computers. General John Mulholland, commanding general of U.S. Army Special Operations Command, will also be in attendance to greet the families.
