DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., March 23, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CompTIA, the IT industry association, said today its Premier Members have the select opportunity to participate in a new pilot version of its Executive Certificate in Financial Management workshop.
The five-part interactive live webcast planned for mid-April will equip attendees with the financial acumen to run their technology business more profitably today and tomorrow.
"Many solution provider companies thrive when it comes to the technology side of the business, but can be challenged by the financial aspects of running a company," said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA.
"The Executive Certificate in Financial Management program helps solution providers strengthen their businesses by sharpening their financial skills," Ricker continued. "They'll learn how to mine common business reports for business intelligence, implement best practices to maximize profitability and develop strategies for healthy, sustainable growth."
Next month's pilot workshop is the first instance where CompTIA has offered the program via an interactive webinar.
The workshop is spread over four days – April 14-17, with each day's session beginning at 2 p.m. EDT and lasting for 90 minutes or less.
Topics covered in the workshop will include comprehensive and interactive discussions on financial strategies for an IT business; cash management practices that are both tactical (short-term) and strategic (long-term); setting a foundation for constructive, ongoing financial analysis; essential trends within your business to monitor; and forward-looking strategies to engage others in your business – employees, contractors, advisors and directors – in financial management and planning.
