HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A new mobile application puts breaking government news and media resources at the fingertips of government stakeholders, journalists and the public. The new iPhone app was created by JPL and partner Apollo Matrix for Commonwealth Media Service's website, PAcast.com.
The mobile application, designed and published by Harrisburg strategic marketing company JPL, allows subscribers to watch video footage of recent state events, hear radio bulletins, and see news releases and high-resolution photos. Recent items include video coverage of the Pennsylvania Farm Show and the inauguration of Governor Tom Corbett. Subscribers are also able to share multimedia with friends and colleagues through email, Twitter and Facebook via their iPhones and iPads. A Blackberry version of the application is currently under development.
PAcast content is supplied by Commonwealth Media Services, which provides quality, professional communications to all branches of the Commonwealth, including the Governor's Office, departments and commissions, state-funded organizations and state grant recipients. PAcast is a free application available to the general public and may be downloaded from iTunes.
