'Commonwealth Commons' to Help PA Farm Show Visitors Connect with Programs, Services
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Visitors to the 2011 Pennsylvania Farm Show can receive help and information on dozens of state programs and services by visiting the Commonwealth Commons, Governor Edward G. Rendell announced today.
"The Commonwealth Commons is a one-stop shop for Farm Show visitors who need help or information on the vast array of state programs and services, from vital human services to recreational opportunities," Governor Rendell said. "I hope every visitor to the Farm Show will stop by to learn more about how their government serves its customers – the taxpayers."
Commonwealth Commons is conveniently located in the newly renovated Maclay Street lobby area, just off the Main Hall. It will be open throughout the Farm Show, which runs from Jan. 8-15 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.
At Commonwealth Commons, visitors can get a free flu shot, explore health insurance options for uninsured kids, purchase an annual fishing license, compare energy rates, learn more about adoption and foster care and much more.
