Columbia Care Subsidiary, Patriot Care, Opens Boston's First Medical Marijuana Dispensary

BOSTON, Aug. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Care LLC ("CC"), one of the nation's leading medical marijuana companies, announced today that its Massachusetts subsidiary, Patriot Care Corporation ("PCC"), will open Boston's first medical marijuana dispensary to qualifying patients on August 3, 2016.  The facility will be located downtown at 21 Milk Street.  This will be Patriot Care's second location serving patients in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts following the Lowell dispensary, which opened in February.

With the opening of its Massachusetts dispensaries, Columbia Care continues to expand its national presence in highly regulated, medically-focused jurisdictions throughout the US. The Boston location solidifies Columbia Care's leadership position in the nation's largest cities including New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Phoenix.  Later this year, Patriot Care will expand access to qualifying patients in western Massachusetts by opening in Greenfield which will become the Company's third dispensary in the State.

Consistent with the Company's national, medically-focused operating model, Massachusetts dispensaries are designed with patient comfort and safety in mind.  All facilities are staffed by a dedicated team trained to provide the highest level of professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, and respect for patients and their conditions.  In the heart of Boston, PCC's facility will be accessible by the Red, Orange, Green, Blue, and Silver lines of The T.  In addition, delivery service will be available once the initial patient registration process and patient consultation have been completed on site.  All aspects of safety and security will be provided by professionals with law enforcement backgrounds utilizing industry-leading security measures.  

To access state-licensed facilities, patients must be deemed eligible by a certified physician and be registered with the State through the Department of Public Health.  After August 3^rd, registered patients are welcome visit our Boston facility from 10am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday, and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. As is the case at all Columbia Care facilities nationwide, a variety of product formats and formulations will be available for purchase, including cured leaf from numerous strains, infused edible products and concentrates.  We expect to expand this offering by the end of the year to include our dosable pharmaceutical line of sub-lingual tinctures, concentrates for vaporization, and orally ingested capsules.
