LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Collab (www.collabcreators.com), the premier Los Angeles-based digital content studio and social influencer network, announced that it has appointed Eric Jacks as Chief Strategy Officer. The addition of Jacks will help accelerate growth while strengthening the company's strategy, market position, and operations.
Formerly Head of the Entertainment and Intellectual Property group at Rogers & Cowan and former Agent managing Global Brand Partnerships as part of CAA's Lifestyle Talent division and Digital Content team, Eric brings extensive experience developing multi-platform, branded-entertainment initiatives and original content strategies.
Jacks will also oversee all industry relationships between brands, agencies and entertainment partners as Collab continues its rapid growth trajectory. He will expand upon Collab's strategic multi-platform partnerships, help grow the roster of talent, and monitor the competitive landscape in global markets.
Prior to CAA, Jacks served in various Executive Producer and Senior Account and Strategy roles at a variety of agencies and marketing companies, including Broadcast.com, which Yahoo! acquired in early 2000. As Executive Producer of Entertainment at Yahoo!, Jacks was at the forefront of the digital content evolution, witnessing it mature into the billion dollar industry it is today.
"Collab has a unique opportunity as it develops and delivers original content and IP with top talent and brands across a variety of platforms," said Jacks. "I look forward to working with the executive team to advance Collab's growth by providing discerning clients with creative and innovative content solutions that drive measurable results."
Jacks' on-boarding highlights Collab's rapid growth in discovering and growing social media talent. From providing asset protection services, in-house production support, and brand integrations, Collab has paved the way for mobile video creators to pursue social media entertainment as a professional career. Their roster of brand clients includes HP, IAC, Dunkin Donuts, Converse, Pepsi, Comedy Central, MTV, Honda, Ford, Ubisoft, and Amazon Studios.
"We're thrilled to welcome Eric Jacks to the Collab team. Eric brings extensive digital and traditional media experience and key brand and agency relationships that will help grow Collab's brands division and drive even more opportunities for the creators in our network," said Tyler McFadden, Co-CEO of Collab.
