Colfax Names Steve Wittig Senior Vice President of the Colfax Business System and Supply Chain Strategy
FULTON, Md., Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Colfax Corporation (NYSE: CFX), a global leader in fluid-handling solutions for critical applications, today announced that Steve Wittig has been named Senior Vice President of the Colfax Business System and Supply Chain Strategy, effective August 31, 2011. In this role, he will be responsible for enhancing our CBS effectiveness and ensuring that our future leaders have the appropriate skill set to achieve sustained levels of excellence. He will also be responsible for the development of a more value-added approach to global supply chain strategy.
Steve has over twenty years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain management where he actively led the implementation of policy deployment, lean and Six Sigma, delivering millions of dollars of profit enhancement while in his previous positions. He was recently Vice President of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma for the Masco Cabinet Group. Prior to that he held a number of operations positions with Lear Corporation, Preferred Technical Group, Sumitomo Electric and United Technologies. Steve received his Masters of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan and his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute).
