COGA Announces Keynote Speakers, Topics for Energy Epicenter Conference
DENVER, June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Colorado Oil & Gas Association today announced several presenters and program highlights for the 22nd Annual Rocky Mountain Energy Epicenter Conference in Denver. The 4-day energy summit on the promising future of natural gas is slated to bring together a diverse group of industry leaders, as well as members of the environmental, policy-making, investment analyst and academic communities.
The conference will kick-off on Tuesday, July 6th with a session on Natural Gas Vehicles, which are getting increased attention as another way the natural gas industry can contribute to energy and environmental solutions.
U.S. Senator Orrin G. Hatch(R-Utah) will be the Policy Keynote speaker on Thursday, July 8th. Critical Issue Keynote will be Emmy-award winning former network news correspondent Regina Hopper, now President and CEO of America's Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA).
On Friday, July 9 Keynote speaker Ernest Moniz, Ph.D., Director of the M.I.T.'s Energy Initiative, will present his compelling new worldwide study on The Future of Natural Gas. The study reveals that natural gas use will likely double in the coming decades as a result of abundant supplies made available by shale drilling and by measures to restrict carbon dioxide emission that are linked to climate change.
Also scheduled to speak at the conference are Questar chairman, president, and CEO Keith Rattie; Noble Energy Chairman/CEO Charles D. Davidson; and Attorney, radio-host and award-winning author Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Additional program highlights include a Gubernatorial Candidate Luncheon and discussion on Wednesday, July 7th featuring Colorado gubernatorial candidates Mr. Dan Maes, Former Colorado Rep. Scott McInnis and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper; and Friday Luncheon and discussion, The Colorado Clean Air - Clean Jobs Act and It's National Implications.
In addition to the presenters and panel discussions, a variety of other events will also be taking place during the week. The Energy Epicenter Expo will be open July 7-9, 2010. The exhibit hall will be displayed in the Korbel Ballroom at the Colorado Convention Center and will feature over 100 energy industry exhibitors.
More than 2500 industry professionals are expected to attend this year's Energy Epicenter conference, including key executives from Oil & Gas companies, and investment and commercial bankers from Wall Street and all of the nation's financial centers.
