Clustrix Partners with OSS Korea to Support Growth of High-Volume, High-Value Application Workloads in Korea
SAN FRANCISCO, July 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Clustrix, provider of the first scale-out database designed for the elastic scaling requirements of high-transaction, high-value workloads of today's Web applications, announced a consulting and reseller partnership with OSS Korea (http://www.osskorea.co.kr/), a provider of database solutions support. The partnership enables OSS Korea to solve complex problems for customers who have scaling and stability concerns for their database.
The use of mobile and e-commerce applications in Korea is rapidly increasing to support a large technology savvy population. Due to this growth, application infrastructure is reaching the limits of what traditional open source databases such as MySQL or MariaDB can deliver. With the addition of Clustrix to OSS Korea's database service portfolio, they are able to deliver a scaling and operational solution for the growing number of Korean customers with high-volume, high-value web applications.
"Because of our deep expertise with MySQL and MariaDB, we are cognizant of the limitations and challenges these platforms present when database scale needs outgrow their capabilities," said Kysung Kim, COO, OSS Korea. "Clustrix's architecture adds a much needed technology to our portfolio in order to support a growing area of opportunity for us as we see the number of customers' database transaction scaling needs continue to grow."
Korea's One-stop Shop for Development, Integration, Operation and Support Services
OSS Korea recognized ClustrixDB's ability to integrate seamlessly with applications using MySQL or MariaDB as well as its unique ability to simultaneously scale reads and writes while maintaining optimal performance speed of the database. With the reseller partnership, OSS Korea for the first-time will provide customers with the ability to engage with the software, services and solutions that leverage ClustrixDB for their high-scale applications.
"We're thrilled to continue our expansion into Asia with our first South Korea-based partnership and provide OSS Korea with richer capabilities to address the immediate challenges some of their top customers are facing," said Mike Azevedo, CEO, Clustrix. "Customers with scaling requirements for databases such as MySQL can now acquire and implement ClustrixDB directly from OSS Korea, enabling local services and support for improving their application performance."
