Charles Carmel brings to the Clustrix board nearly 20 years experience in private equity, venture capital, corporate development and investment banking, with a deep expertise in enterprise IT and communications technology software, infrastructure and services. Carmel was most recently a partner and managing director at Warburg Pincus. Prior to Warburg, Carmel spent 10 years at Cisco where he led worldwide acquisition and venture capital strategy and earlier in his career he worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs.
Carmel is impressed with the Clustrix's disruptive technology and has been following the company's progress for several years. He now looks forward to adding his perspective to Clustrix's leadership over the company's next phases of growth.
Shawn Douglass brings to the Clustrix board two decades of experience as an executive, board member, investor and adviser. A strategist with a strong technical and operations background who is well connected and has done game changing deals with some of the biggest tech players on the planet, Douglass has been a key player in acquisitions on both the buy and sell side and has been involved in building businesses in hybrid-cloud, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, DevOps, enterprise software and security. Prior to his role as CTO at a leading Hybrid cloud Management company acquired by CSC, he was Managing director at EMC Ventures where he drove strategic investments in cloud, big data/analytics, software defined data center and security.
As an entrepreneur and C-level executive at several successful startups, Douglass finds both the strategic and technical differentiation offered by Clustrix's products attractive, such as the unique ability to scale both 'reads' and 'writes' and to deploy in any cloud or data center.
Lindsey Anderson brings more than two decades experience in technology sales for both public and venture-backed organizations. Anderson offers to Clustrix a particular aptitude for assembling highly engaged sales teams that have consistently exceeded revenue goals. Anderson's strong professional network bolsters Clustrix's standing for building long-term relationships with strategic partners and clients. In recent years, Anderson has headed successful sales teams at WSO2, Software AG, and Progress Software.
Mike Azevedo, CEO of Clustrix, commented, "We're pleased to welcome to our executive team a sales leader such as Anderson, who brings extensive experience and success in technology infrastructure sales, OEM, direct and channel; as well as global experience and success in small and large organizations. Carmel and Douglass are both experts in the space we occupy and are passionate about the value of the differentiating factors of our technology. They will be highly valuable in putting our technology in a broader context and offering more strategic leadership.
About joining the Clustrix team, Anderson comments, "Clustrix boasts stellar leadership that I am honored to join, as well as a product with amazing technology that is poised to fill a significant place in the market. That is not a combination one finds every day."
