Cloudability Acquires Assets Of Former Competitor, CloudVertical

PORTLAND, Ore., March 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cloudability today announced that it has acquired several assets from CloudVertical, a competing Cloud Cost Management tool.

"As the market matures, we're happy to be able to bring our technologies and services to more customers," says Cloudability CEO Mat Ellis. "Cloud Cost Management has become a more critical part of IT operations, and customers need sophisticated tools to improve the return on their cloud spend."

The assets are being acquired from CloudVertical's current owners Copper.io, a full stack developer toolset to help deploy, operate and monitor apps in the Cloud. "We've always had great respect for Cloudability," says Copper.io CEO, Ed Byrne. "I think it's fair to say they are the undisputed leader in the space - and certainly the first mover with a complete product for enterprise users."

Copper.io will continue supporting existing CloudVeritcal users until April 10th, after which all CloudVertical users will have the opportunity to transition to Cloudability as part of an exclusive offer.
