CINCINNATI, May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kimora Lee Simmons can add makeover maven to her model/mogul/mom repertoire as the Style Network star joined Procter & Gamble's (NYSE: PG) Bounty brand today in her home state of Missouri to reveal the results of the $50,000 "Fabulous School Makeover" awarded to North St. Francois County High School in Bonne Terre.

North St. Francois won the makeover designed by Simmons that has delivered added functionality with a bit of "fabulosity" in Bounty's second "We Love Our School" clean-up initiative that launched earlier this spring semester.
"I am thrilled to be back in my home state of Missouri to help out with such a wonderful makeover for the students at North St. Francois," said Simmons, star of "Life in the Fab Lane." "I had so much fun coming up with my vision for these classrooms and am thrilled that they are happy with the results. As a mom, I want my kids' learning environment to be clean and pleasant, but I also think it should be a place that's vibrant and fun so they can look forward to coming in each and every day."
Over the past week, Simmons and her design team have transformed the learning environment of the North St. Francois art room to bring in more color and help to inspire more creativity. The classroom received Simmons' signature fabulous flair with a royal blue wall dedicated to showcasing the students' art pieces in gilded gold frames. Artwork from famous painters and graphic designers now line the other three walls while colorful stools, painted cabinets and floor mats add a new energy to the space. In addition, dwindling supplies, such as paints, color pencils, and Bounty paper towels, were re-stocked for next year to handle future creative clean-ups.
To bring the excitement of the makeover to the rest of North St. Francois and to promote newer technological teaching methods, a portable interactive whiteboard and high-definition flat screen televisions were purchased for the school and presented to Principal John Crabtree at the unveiling pep rally. "We are over-the-moon ecstatic with the results of the makeover," said Crabtree. "We were already so proud of our school and this makeover has it looking even more fantastic! What a great way to motivate our students to love learning than by offering them such energetic classrooms to come into every day."
"After the overwhelming response to the first phase of the program, we were happy to extend our clean school initiative to more communities across the country in an effort to provide additional fun, clean and creative learning environments for our children," says Bounty Brand Manager, Dave Lee. "We are thrilled with the results of the makeover here in Missouri and hope that our actions encourage others to get involved with schools in their own communities."
Teachers, parents, school board and community members all turned out to celebrate the reveal of the new learning space. To see photos of the makeover and to learn more about Bounty's school initiatives, visit www.Facebook.com/Bounty.
