CleanEquity Monaco 2012 - Awards
MONACO, March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanEquity Monaco, the forum for emerging cleantech companies, was this year co-hosted by Innovator Capital Ltd and the Nobel Sustainability Trust. The conference closed Friday 30 March with an Awards Ceremony presided over by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
The conference showcases cutting-edge emerging cleantech companies to a world-class gathering of senior delegates including specialist financial and strategic investors, established industry players, key policymakers and international trade media.
H.S.H. Prince Albert II audited the judging process and awarded the prizes.
The award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Research went to ArcActive Limited, a New Zealand company developing a new negative electrode for the Lead Acid battery for use in Start/Stop or Micro Hybrid vehicles. These batteries will enable automakers to significantly improve fuel economy compared to the state of the art AGM batteries, while being cost competitive with AGM.
The award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Development went to GreenCom Networks, a German company enabling distributed energy management for utilities with its Energy Information Brokerage Platform.
The award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Commercialization went to Tendril, a US Energy Platform company delivering end-to-end consumer engagement products, applications and services powered by Tendril Connect™ - an open standards-based, secure and scalable platform that takes the complexity out of the Energy Internet.
The presenting companies were sourced and screened by Innovator Capital, a boutique investment bank with a focus on cleantech, with help from international partners from Europe, America, India and Japan.
The conference offered a sneak preview of next wave cleantech technologies and associated commercial opportunities.
