ARAPAHO, Okla., Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The following statement was issued today by the law firms of Tomlinson·Rust·McKinstry·Grable P.C. and Napoli, Bern, Ripka LLP:
A class action lawsuit has been set for trial in the Second Judicial District Court of Oklahoma in Custer County on behalf of those who own or have owned a royalty interest in the Putnam Oswego Unit (in Dewey and/or Custer County, Oklahoma), at any time since November 1, 1968 to the present. The lawsuit claims that people may be due payments from ExxonMobil Oil Corporation and/or Mobil Exploration and Producing North America, Inc. This claim applies to class members whether they were paid royalties by Mobil or another company. Class members are automatically included in this suit if they have or had owned such a royalty interest at any time since November 1, 1968, unless a member chooses to be excluded. A trial will be held in the Custer County Courthouse at 9:30am on June 19, 2012 to determine whether class members are entitled to payment of additional royalties. Class members do not need to attend the trial; no ruling has been made on the merits of this claim.
