Bill that will bring new jobs passes Senate, moves on to House
ATLANTA, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In response to the passage of HB 168 out of the Georgia Senate yesterday, the following statement can be attributed to John Watson, chairman of Citizens for a Digital Future (CDF):
"CDF applauds the Georgia Senate for passing the Telecom Jobs and Investment Act, originally introduced in the House by Representative Clay Cox. We thank the legislators for taking the important first step towards bringing opportunities and new jobs to Georgia through updated telecom legislation. This legislation will encourage companies to invest in Georgia communities and bring new Internet services and digital technologies to the state, thus creating a domino effect that will allow businesses to expand and job opportunities to grow. As the bill moves on to the House, we look forward to quick consideration and passage."
