DALLAS, Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned for being "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid" for birthday parties and family fun, Chuck E. Cheese's is once again getting national recognition for its great-tasting pizza. In a recent nationwide blind taste test, more than 60 percent of people expressing a preference, chose Chuck E. Cheese's Thin & Crispy pepperoni pizza over Pizza Hut's® Thin and Crispy pepperoni pizza.
"We hear from moms, dads and kids that they love our pizza just as much as our games," said Tom Leverton, CEO of CEC Entertainment Inc. "We have always been America's #1 place for birthdays, and the go-to spot for family fun, but now we are getting recognition for our fresh-made pizza that moms and dads love too."
This is the second time Chuck E. Cheese's has beaten Pizza Hut in a blind taste test, since the restaurant's Thin & Crispy pizza rolled out nationwide two years ago. Part of a major menu revamp from culinary mastermind and award-winning Executive Chef Gregory Casale, Chuck E. Cheese's continues to launch new and exciting parent-friendly menu items – including a new gluten-free pizza crust.
To celebrate the victory, Chuck E. Cheese's is offering guests a FREE personal pizza! From Aug. 7 – Aug. 11, guests who purchase any large Thin & Crispy pizza at menu price, will get a personal pizza for free at participating Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants nationwide. To redeem the special offer, guests are invited to visit www.chuckecheese.com/beats-pizza-hut.
Families can also enjoy the Thin & Crispy pepperoni pizza and many of their other favorite handmade pizzas, fresh salads, and delicious cinnamon dessert pizza at the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at participating locations.
Other delicious pizzas on the Chuck E. Cheese's menu include Cali Alfredo Pizza with a creamy Alfredo sauce topped with spinach, sausage, mushrooms and roasted chicken breast, and BBQ Chicken Pizza featuring rich, smoky BBQ sauce topped with strips of roasted chicken breast, red onions, green peppers and crispy onions.
Guests can also take advantage of Chuck E. Cheese's most exciting gaming offer ever - $20 of FREE gameplay! During the month of August, on weekdays only, guests will receive $20 of free gameplay with a $20 games purchase or more.
