China VoIP & Digital Telecom Inc. Completes Implementation of Wendeng Central Hospital Datacenter Virtualization Project
JINAN, China, April 30 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Jinan Yinquan Technology (Jinan Yinquan), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China VoIP & Digital Telecom (OTC Bulletin Board: CVDT) today announced that it has successfully completed the implementation of Wendeng Central Hospital's (the "Hospital") Datacenter Virtualization Project (the "Project").
The Hospital was founded in 1941. After decades of development, it has become one of the largest hospitals in Shandong Province. It has over 160,000 square meters dedicated to clinical and research functions, 800 hospital beds and more than 480 sets of medical equipment and apparatus with each set valued above RMB 10,000 Yuan. In 2009, there were over 300,000 outpatient visits, 20,000 inpatient admissions and more than 10,000 surgical operations performed in the hospital.
Wendeng Hospital originally planned to redeploy its Hospital Information System (HIS) to handle all services including finance, HR, hospitalization, medicines, outpatient, and other subsystems with 30 physical servers in its datacenter. Later, the Hospital decided to adopt Yinquan's virtualization solution. After the implementation of virtualization technology, the required number of servers was dramatically reduced to 4, and the average utilization of each server increased by 50%. Overall, the virtualization solution improved HIS availability and reliability and it also reduces the maintenance and administrative workload. In addition, the virtualization solution helped the Hospital to save power consumption costs, construction and purchasing expenses, resulting in a 60% reduction in the datacenter's overall operating costs.
Following the Project's completion, there will also be a post- implementation services support contract, which should provide an ongoing, stable revenue stream to Jinan Yinquan.
Mr. Kunwu Li, President and CEO of China VoIP & Digital Telecom, was very pleased with the success of this Project. He said, "It's an excellent showcase of our ability to implement our integrated virtualization solutions for the healthcare industry. After the implementation, we will organize an on-site conference in the hospital and make promotional presentations to other hospitals from other cities of Shandong province. We are confident in our continuing success in this industry for the foreseeable future."

About Virtualization Technology
Virtualization is a proven software technology that is rapidly transforming the IT landscape and fundamentally changing the way people compute.
Today's powerful x86 computer hardware was originally designed to run only a single operating system and a single application, but virtualization breaks that boundary, making it possible to run multiple operating systems and multiple applications on the same computer at the same time, increasing the utilization and flexibility of hardware.
Virtualization is a technology that can benefit anyone who uses a computer, from IT professionals and Mac enthusiasts to commercial businesses and government organizations. Join the millions of people around the world who use virtualization to save time, money and energy while achieving more with the computer hardware they already own.
