China Green Agriculture Hosted its Investor Day Event in Beijing
XI'AN, China, Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- China Green Agriculture, Inc. (NYSE: CGA; "China Green Agriculture", "we" or the "Company"), a company that mainly produces and distributes humic acid-based compound fertilizers, other varieties of compound fertilizers and agricultural products through its subsidiaries in China, today hosted the second day of the previously announced two-day-investor-days event with a group of shareholders and guests in Beijing.
At the event, Mr. Tao Li, Chairman and CEO of the Company, delivered the opening remarks to express the Company's welcome to all the attendees. An important part of the investor day includes tours to the Beijing Gufeng Chemical Products Co., Ltd. ("Gufeng") production plants as well as the warehouse. During the tour, the management jointly discussed the Company's products and their uses, and answered questions from the investors on the broad range.
Later on, management provided an overview of Company's business strategy and an operational look at the Company and its business and operation prospects.During the question and answer session, major distributors representatives of Gufeng and investors had an interactive discussion on Gufeng's marketing plan, new development strategy and new business model with management, which was introduced in our press release issued on October 1, 2014.
After a genuine discussion, the investors, distributors and management came to a consensus that the Company will hold a national distributor conference next month in November 2014. At the conference, the Company will invite distributors from nationwide to launch a newly designed incentive program to motivate distributors to improve the sales of the company's fertilizer products in 2015.
Besides, per the investors' requests during the two-day-investor-days, the Company plans to hold another investor day after the Company's national distributors conference. At the next investor day, the Company will provide chances for more interested investors who were not able to attend the investor days in October 2014 due to short notice. The Company will specifically refute the shorts' slander on the coming investor day.
Furthermore, the law enforcement authority at where the Company's major operation is located, the Public Security Bureau of Xi'an ("PSB"), has taken the corporate espionage and sabotage case that the short sellers had committed to damage the Company. The PSB is conducting their investigation into corporate espionage, and had started enforcement actions against the saboteurs.
