VANCOUVER, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - China Education Resources, Inc. (TSXV:CHN, Pink Sheets:CHNUF), a leading technology provider of online learning, training courses and tools for teachers, students and education professionals in China, announced today that it has finalized agreements to provide online training and education courses for teachers in China's largest province of Henan as well as in the provinces of Guangxi, Shaanxi and Xinjiang.
"We are expanding our operations and sales as we now have agreements in place in China's largest province, Henan, which has a population of over 100 million people and China's largest city, Chongqing, which has over 31 million people. To date, we now have agreements in 11 provinces in China and have started to generate revenue during this past summer 2010. I am satisfied with the direction that China Education Resources is heading as we approach 2011," said Chengfeng Zhou, CEO, China Education Resources.
"The China Education Resources portal is the first network-based teaching and learning environment that I have seen anywhere in the world that actually lives up to the promise of using the Web as a place where meaningful educational activity can take place. And the proof is in the numbers. There are presently over one million teachers blogging on the China Education Resources portal and the numbers are growing by the hundreds each day," said Richard Donovan, a senior education consultant specializing in languages and cultures, former educator at California State University and associate dean at the Defense Language Institute.
In early October 2010, China Education Resources announced that it had finalized an agreement to provide online education and training to teachers and education professionals in the city of Chongqing, China's largest city, and in the provinces of Heilongjiang, Sichuan and Yunnan. "Our four-step growth plan is now being implemented throughout China. The first step involves work with various levels of government to deliver the online teacher training programs. The second step integrates our products and services into the teachers' daily routine. This will allow teachers to interact and communicate with each other," explained Chengfeng Zhou. "The third step is to promote the educational platform section to teachers and the fourth step engages the student with our educational portal which includes our collection of online tutoring courses, assessment tools and educational games. Our corporate revenues are generated from each step of our growth plan."
"As a concerned educator and dedicated teacher, I welcome the China Education Resources' online training program as it introduces new teaching concepts and methods. My continuing education experience online has been very rewarding. In turn, my students will benefit immediately from my new training as well," explained Cheng Li, teacher, Yubei District, city of Chongqing.
