China Digital TV Announces Appointment of CFO Zhenwen Liang
BEIJING, Nov 9, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China Digital TV Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STV) ("China Digital TV" or the "Company"), the leading provider of conditional access systems to China's expanding digital television market, today announced that Mr. Zhenwen Liang, previously the Company's acting chief financial officer has been appointed as chief financial officer by the board of directors, effective immediately.
"Zhenwen has excelled as acting CFO and I am very pleased to confirm his appointment to this permanent position," said Mr. Jianhua Zhu, chairman and chief executive officer of China Digital TV. "He has been with China Digital TV for more than twelve years working in a variety of roles and there is nobody better qualified to help lead the firm's financial management as we enter this exciting period of development and growth in the industry."

Mr. Liang has been China Digital TV's acting chief financial officer since July 2010 and prior to that was general manager of the Company's new business unit, responsible for developing value-added services. From 2004 to 2006 Mr. Liang oversaw the financial operations of China Digital TV and from 1998 to 2004 headed the finance team at Novel-Tongfang Information Engineering Co., Ltd., the predecessor of China Digital TV. Mr. Liang has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Central University of Finance and Economics and a master's degree in business administration from the Renmin University of China.
