Chess Club And Scholastic Center Of Saint Louis To Host Press Conference On April 24 To Announce International Chess Circuit
ST. LOUIS, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Less than two weeks after hosting the 2015 U.S. Championship and U.S. Women's Championship, the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis (CCSCSL) will host representatives from Norway and London at a special press conference to announce the establishment of a new international circuit of the world's leading professional chess players.

Garry Kasparov and Nigel Short will be on-hand for the announcement as they both will be competing this weekend at the CCSCSL in the Battle of the Legends, an exciting exhibition match between the two famed grandmasters. The exhibition match will feature 10 games spanning two days of play, each featuring one game with a rapid time control, and four games with the faster blitz time control. The entire event will be broadcast live on www.uschesschamps.com, featuring live commentary and analysis from a world-renowned commentary team of Grandmasters Maurice Ashley and Alejandro Ramirez.
