Chehalis Tribes, Country Music Band Telluride Announce Benefit Concert in Honor of Fallen Officers February 27.
ROCHESTER, Wash., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chehalis Confederated Tribes will host a special benefit concert at Lucky Eagle Casino February 27, in memory of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in recent months. The fundraising effort, which will feature popular country music act Telluride, will provide support for Washington State's Behind the Badge Foundation, an organization that focuses on helping officers and their families following catastrophic injuries and deaths suffered while on duty.
"The outpouring of public support for the families of our fallen officers has been heartwarming in recent months," said Lucky Eagle Casino General Manager John Setterstrom. "This new effort will help to ensure that funds will be available when tragedy strikes in the future."
The Behind the Badge Foundation's expanded mission includes the State recognized Line of Duty Death Response Team, financial support for line of duty death memorial services, support for catastrophically injured officer issues, a resource center to network counseling, financial planning, memorial planning, and legal assistance for affected families, and ongoing maintenance of the State Law Enforcement Memorial on the capitol campus in Olympia.
Tickets for the Telluride Concert February 27 are $30 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster, Dave's Thriftway in Tenino and the Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Behind the Badge Foundation. In addition to the generous donation of time and talent from the Chehalis Tribes and Telluride, the event has garnered support from a wide range of area sponsors.
