CGCN Announces Mike Freeman, former House, Senate, and Regulatory Agency Counsel as Partner, Adds Greg Blair, Former NRSC Deputy Communications Director, and Juan Mejia to Strategic Communications Team
WASHINGTON, May 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CGCN Group, an integrated advocacy and public-affairs firm, on Monday announced the addition of Mike Freeman as partner. The firm also announced the additions of Greg Blair and Juan Mejia to the Strategic Communications practice.
Mike Freeman comes to CGCN from the House Committee on Natural Resources, where he served as Counsel for the past two and a half years, advising members of the Committee on energy and mining issues. Previously, he served as the Energy and Natural Resources Counsel to Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT). Prior to his work on Capitol Hill, Freeman served as Attorney-Advisor at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) where he provided legal counsel concerning the regulation of oil, natural gas and electricity. He earned a B.A. in English Literature, Philosophy from Christendom College and a J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He is a member of the Virginia Bar Association.

Greg Blair most recently he served as Deputy Communications Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Prior to that, he was a spokesman for Florida Gov. Rick Scott's re-election campaign, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez, and the National Republican Congressional Committee. He was also an aide to then-Rep. Tom Price and the Republican Study Committee. Blair earned a B.A. in Government from Claremont McKenna College and an M.A. in American Government from Georgetown University.
Prior to CGCN, Juan Mejia served as Associate for Business Development for Politico Pro. He has also served as a legislative intern for Congressman Ken Calvert (R-CA). He received a Bachelors in Business Administration with a Major in Economics and Minor in Business Law from Lamar University in Texas. He is fluent in Spanish.
