As the west coast arm of the nationwide movement, thousands will gather in Los Angeles on October 2nd as those on the east coast gather at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, well-known Hollywood actors and activists Danny Glover, Scott Bakula, Anne-Marie Johnson, Valerie Harper and Mike Farrell announced their involvement in the One Nation Working Together (www.OneNationCA.org) movement and the massive Day of Action to be held in Los Angeles on October 2, 2010.

"I'm proud and excited to be a part of One Nation Working Together - a movement that was developed to reengage and re-energize voters," said Glover. "At a time when many Americans may feel disconnected, and even frustrated due to the economy, it's important that we remind ourselves what can be accomplished when we stand united and work together."

Responding to a call to restore opportunity for Americans and pull America back together, One Nation Working Together California will hold a massive Day of Action in Los Angeles on October 2, 2010. The event will bring thousands Californians together to take a stand for the creation of jobs, a quality education, and justice for all. There will also be a live simulcast with the national march occurring in Washington, D.C. that day at which half a million people are expected to gather at the Lincoln Memorial.

The daylong event will take place at Los Angeles City College starting at 9 am and will feature live performances, a public interactive display by artist Derek Gores that symbolizes our unity, the personal stories of struggle shared by One Nation participants, and the launch of a voter outreach program which will encourage 500,000 Californians to reengage in the political process prior to the November election.
