SCHAUMBURG, Ill., March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- National Rehabilitation Counselors Appreciation Day is March 22, 2018. In celebration, the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) will be hosting an online event, March 19 through March 23, recognizing Rehabilitation Counselors and their contributions in helping individuals with disabilities.
"We are dedicated in improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRCs) are on the frontline of the profession providing services to individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their personal, career and independent living goals," commented CRCC Executive Director, Cindy Chapman. "CRCs play an important role in the lives of individuals with disabilities. There is no better time to celebrate their contributions than the present."
First established in 2007, National Rehabilitation Counselors Appreciation Day continues to be a day that holds a special place in the hearts of CRCs. According to the United States of America Congressional Record, Congress "commends all of the hard work and dedication that rehabilitation counselors provide to individuals in need and the numerous efforts that the multiple professional organizations have made to assisting those who require rehabilitation." The event will be hosted on CRCC's Facebook page. CRCC invites all CRCs to be a part of this celebration.
CRCC is the world's largest rehabilitation counseling organization with nearly 16,000 current CRCs dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. CRCC offers the national CRC certification program accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
