The partnership with Hope Engineering expands CE Power geography into Michigan and Northern Ohio and will provide existing clients engineering services, maintenance testing, and turnkey solutions for ongoing electrical needs. Hope Engineering, and its owner Ken L'Esperance, has a long-standing track record of serving large industrial and utility clients electrical needs for 27 years. The company is well-respected for the work done for clients in regard to field engineering/design engineering and power distribution upgrade projects. The move creates exciting new opportunities for Ken's existing clients including turnkey solutions, product solutions, with expanded resources in the Michigan area. In addition, the new relationship will provide CE Power the ability to better service clients in the northern OH/MI region and further expand recruiting and service opportunities into those markets. Ken will continue with the company, serving as General Manager of the Hope Engineering Division of CE Power, located in the +mid-Michigan area.
Over the next few months we will be in the process of integrating this new company into our organization. It is our goal to continue providing the highest level of service during this time and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with our customers. The new entity will be known as Hope Engineering, division of CE Power Solutions and will fall under the CE Power branding image with the rest of the CE Power Family of Companies.
About Ken:
Ken is a graduate of Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI with a BSEE. He then went on to receive his PE license in MI. His work experience ranges from GE as a field Engineer in the 1980's, to when he founded Hope Engineering in 1987. Some major projects he has completed include clients such as Henry Ford Hospital, Hemlock Semiconductor, Dow Chemical, DTE Energy, Dow Corning, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Domtar Papers and Visteon. These projects included integration of incoming lines into an automatic transfer scheme, automation of LV double-ended unit substations, installation and commissioning for 120kV, 34.5kv, 4.16kV and 480V power distribution equipment and substations, field engineering/design engineering, and providing short circuit/coordination/arc flash studies.
