CBT Planet Releases New Microsoft Windows 7 Training Courses
TAMPA, Fla., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- IT professionals can look forward to a new set of Windows 7 training resources thanks to CBT Planet's upcoming releases. CBT Planet is finalizing five new courses covering Windows 7: Windows 7 Desktop, Installing and Configuring Windows 7 Client, Updating Your Technology Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP to Windows 7, Planning and Managing Windows 7 Desktop Deployments and Environments, and Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Support Technician.
These courses, which are loaded with Microsoft Windows 7 training videos, have been designed with several Microsoft certifications in mind, including the Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certifications. Specifically: MCTS: Windows 7 - Configuration and its required 70-680 exam, MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7 certification and its two required exams (70-680 and 70-686), and MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7 certification and its two required exams (70-680 and 70-685).
Each of the Microsoft Windows 7 training courses comes on a Windows 7 training DVD, making for a convenient training option. The DVD delivers instructor-led Microsoft Windows 7 training videos directly to the desktop where candidates see Windows 7 tasks performed by a certified instructor. CBT Planet includes interactive content on the DVDs such as hands-on labs and simulations, allowing trainees to practice what they've learned from the Microsoft Windows 7 training videos. Because these activities are simulated, any configuration changes made during training do not directly affect the user's computer.
Currently, Microsoft lists one MCTS certification (MCTS: Windows 7 - Configuring) and two MCITP certifications for Windows 7 (MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7 and MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7). CBT Planet is finalizing its Microsoft Windows 7 training courses to cover all three of these Microsoft certifications.
The three certifications each require the MCTS: Windows 7 - Configuring credential which measures skills in installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows 7; deploying Windows 7; configuring hardware, applications, network connectivity, access to resources, mobile computing, and backup and recovery options; and monitoring and maintaining Windows 7 desktops. From there, the successful MCTS candidate can remain at the technical specialist level or continue to prepare for one of the two MCITP certifications.
The MCITP Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7 certification emphasizes planning strategies, configurations, application packages, and deployments while the MCITP Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7 certification focuses on identifying causes and resolving desktop application, networking, and security issues as well as support, management, and maintenance.
