Casio G-SHOCK Announces New Color Addition To Connected G-STEEL Timepieces
Latest Color Variation of G-STEEL Models with Bluetooth Connectivity
DOVER, N.J., Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Casio G-SHOCK announces the latest addition to its popular G-STEEL line of watches. The new GSTB100D-1A9 extends the look of the BLE Connected G-STEEL models announced last month, boasting a new sleek black and gold face, bezel, and accents in addition to the solid stainless steel band.
The refined timepiece utilizes Bluetooth technology to pair with smart phones via the G-SHOCK connected app, giving users the ability to use the Phone Finder feature in addition to changing time zones, checking the battery level, and setting a countdown timer or alarm from the app. Each watch also features solar-powered charging capabilities, a new functional face design with a "turbine inspired" level indicator disc, and a super LED light for maximum visibility.
Each model also comes equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology of shock resistance and 200M water resistance, as well as world time, dual time display, neo-brite luminous hands, an LED super illuminator light, daily alarm, 24-hour stopwatch and 24-hour countdown timer, and a full auto calendar – all in a 53.8mm case.
The new GSTB100D-1A9 will retail for $400 beginning in November 2017 and will be available for purchase at select Macy's, select jewelers, shopcasio.com and the G-SHOCK Soho Store.
About G-SHOCK
CASIO's shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe's dream of 'creating a watch that never breaks'. Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested to destruction until finally in 1983 the first, now iconic G-SHOCK hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as 'the toughest watch of all time'. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness. The watch is packed with Casio innovations and technologies to prevent it from suffering direct shock; this includes internal components protected with urethane and suspended timekeeping modules inside the watch structure.
