Cars.com Lists the Top 10 New Cars for Penny Pinchers
CHICAGO, Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cars.com, the leading online resource for buying and selling new and used cars, has listed the top 10 cheapest new cars available to purchase and drive. To create the list, Cars.com editors calculated sticker price and destination fees plus eight year fuel cost.
"There's a certain crowd of shoppers who only care about getting the cheapest car to get them from one place to another," said Joe Wiesenfelder, Cars.com's Executive Editor. "They want something new with a warranty, and of course because they are cost-conscious, they want something efficient. These are the folks we've created this list for. While we don't necessarily praise these cars for their overall quality, one thing is certain, they get high marks for cost-savings."
